Strata Projects Listed in Top 100 Best Performing Solar Assets in the U.S.
Exceeding Expectations
Strata Solar was recently added to the solar Asset League Tables by kWh Analytics and the Solar Finance Council. The Asset League Tables is an independent analysis of the top performing projects in the United States which highlight accomplishments in the solar industry and encourage adoption of data best practices. Several of Strata's projects, Foxfire Solar Farm, Mount Olive Farm, and Redmon Solar Farm, have been recognized by kWh Analytics as National Awardees and are all included in their list of Top 100 best performing solar assets in the United States.
kWh Analytics is the market leader in solar risk management. They are able to minimize risk and increase equity returns of their solar portfolios through leveraging comprehensive performance database of solar assets in the United States. Partnering with the Solar Finance Council has allowed them to present the Asset League Tables series. These reports include an overview of solar project performance, performance benchmarks, and an alphabetized list of the industry's top-performing solar projects by region. The Asset League Tables is updated on a periodic basis to accomplish its three goals: to avail the industry of quality performance metrics necessary for investors, developers, operators, and other stakeholders to properly benchmark their projects and portfolios, to highlight accomplishments in the solar industry and to encourage adoption of data best practices that support the industry's continued growth.
California and the Southwest Excel in New Ranking of Top Performing Solar Projects
A first of its kind dataset from kWh Analytics ranking production at individual solar power plants around the country indicates that California and the Southwest still have the upper hand in solar energy output.
“The solar industry has grown tremendously, and our understanding of asset performance must grow as well,” said Mike Mendelsohn, executive director at the newly formed Solar Finance Council. “This report provides investors critical insight on solar technology performance and can help lower the cost of capital for the broader solar sector”
Areas favored in the rankings get more annual sunlight than northern regions in the United States, and Shiao said he would have liked to see adjustments for insolation. A further breakdown by region did offer some insight on the top-performing projects located around the country.
