Strata Conducts First Ever Waste Assessment
Strata Solar aims to become a more sustainable business both on and off the job worksite by putting plans into action like this past month's waste assessment performed by Waste Reduction Partners. They are a team of highly experienced staff and volunteer retired engineers, architects and scientists that provides North Carolina businesses and institutions with waste and energy reduction assessments and technical assistance. Their mission is to work for a sustainable economy, healthy environment, and better quality of life throughout North Carolina.
What is a Waste Assessment?
Waste assessments identify and estimate different types and volumes of wastes by performing a waste stream analysis. Results from these assessments dictate which types of waste have the most potential for reduction. These facts and figures can dictate whether or not a waste reduction program is performing well or underperforming.
Waste from Strata's headquarters was identified and weighed to provide key information about how to improve corporate waste stream diversion. This assessment will serve as a baseline for our corporate sustainability handbook analytics to create and implement Green Business initiatives throughout our operations.
