With decades of combined experience leading industry transformation, our executives are focused on operational excellence, financial strength, and a culture of quality and safety that underpins every project we deliver. Before establishing Strata Clean Energy, Markus brought over 25 years of experience in the media industry, with a focus on leadership roles at prominent companies like Bertelsmann AG and Time Warner. As a seasoned CEO, Markus has led publishing and direct marketing firms such as Bookspan and Doubleday Direct, overseeing international teams spanning across the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, and Korea.
Brian’s law practice spans 35 years, with substantial experience in tax credit finance, commercial real estate finance, structured finance, business organizations and mergers and acquisitions to name a few. In addition to solar and energy storage, Brian has represented developers of landfill gas-to-energy, biomass and anaerobic digester projects. Brian holds a BA degree from North Carolina State University and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Prior to joining Strata, Tiago founded and served as CEO of Crossover Energy Partners (CEP), a deal origination and advisory platform supporting leading private equity investors, including KKR and Capital Dynamics. CEP was acquired by Strata in late 2022, further strengthening the company’s commercial capabilities. Before founding CEP, Tiago held roles spanning development, M&A, and asset management at Capital Dynamics, Arevon Energy, and ContourGlobal, gaining deep experience in structuring and executing complex renewable energy projects. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent engineer focused on hydropower hydrology, hydraulics, and energy studies, as well as techno economic feasibility analyses—building a strong technical foundation that continues to inform his commercial leadership.
Across his career, Tiago has led or supported the development and acquisition of more than 10 GW of renewable energy projects across four continents, covering solar, wind, hydropower, concentrating solar power (CSP), and battery energy storage systems (BESS). His work reflects a consistent emphasis on disciplined execution, risk management, and long term asset performance.
Tiago holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Industrial Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), complemented by academic studies at INSA Lyon and Stanford University.

Leni began his renewable energy career at Gamesa Wind (now Siemens Gamesa) in 2008, developing subcontracts that supported operations and maintenance across the company’s U.S. wind fleet. In 2011, he joined First Solar, where he led project procurement for utility-scale solar projects in the U.S., the UAE, and Australia, and negotiated agreements with third-party service providers as Contracts Manager. In 2015, Leni joined M+W Energy (now Exyte) as Director of Procurement, leading supply chain, strategic sourcing, subcontracts, and estimating for commercial and industrial solar power plant construction projects nationwide. He joined Strata in 2017 to lead procurement, was promoted to Chief Procurement Officer in 2022, and advanced to Senior Vice President of Business Operations in 2024. In his current role, Leni is strengthening Strata’s technology and business systems to accelerate digital transformation and automation while expanding EPC capabilities for substations through PGS.
Outside of Strata, Leni serves as a part-time lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he teaches a special-topics course titled Clean Energy Supply Chains. He is a frequent speaker at clean energy conferences and webinars, sharing practical perspectives on procurement, contracting, and supply chain execution in fast-growing markets. Leni holds an MBA from La Salle University and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Rhode Island.

Before stepping into the CFO role, Alex led Capital Markets at Strata for several years, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial identity and positioning its brand within the investment community. His efforts enabled billions of dollars in capital investment across Strata’s utility-scale projects and corporate platform, fueling the company’s rapid growth and expanding its national footprint.
As CFO, Alex now oversees Strata’s comprehensive financial strategy and governance, including accounting, treasury, tax, risk management, and financial planning and analysis. He continues to lead Capital Markets, leveraging deep relationships with financial institutions and strategic partners to support Strata’s long-term growth and reinforce its leadership in the renewable energy sector.
Jason has deep expertise in land acquisition, permitting, interconnection strategy, and utility-scale project execution, having developed over 15 GW of solar and 25 GWh of energy storage. He holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from Ohio University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Nick has expertise in managing large-scale teams, implementing best practices for asset management, and developing innovative solutions to optimize plant performance. He maintains a strong focus on sustainability, regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to clients, while upholding high safety and environmental standards. He is committed to advancing the growth of clean energy through strategic leadership and operational innovation.
